Ohara Augusto receives SfRBM Lifetime Achievement Award 2022

Full professor at the Instituto de Química, Universidade de São Paulo (USP), and director of the RIDC Redoxoma, Ohara Augusto is the first Brazilian scientist to receive the SfRBM Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes an aggregate body of work important to the field of free radical chemistry, redox biology, and antioxidants over a scientist’s career.
The award ceremony took place during the SfRBM 29th Annual Meeting, held in November 2022, in Orlando, United States. On the occasion, Augusto gave a featured lecture titled “From O2 to NO Meeting CO2” and was presented with a medal.
