Redoxoma researcher receives SfRBM 2020 Trainee Award

Researcher Carlos A. Tairum Jr. was one of the winners of the 2020 Trainee Award of the Society for Redox Biology and Medicine (SfRBM), for the work Presence of Ser instead of Thr in the Catalytic Triad of Typical 2-Cys Prx Increases the Resistance to Hyperoxidation and Inactivation, done in collaboration with Professor Marcos Antonio de Oliveira, from UNESP and a member of the RIDC Redoxoma. He was also selected for the oral presentation at the SfRBM 27th Annual Conference, held virtually over November 18-20.

Tairum is a post-doc at the Laboratory of Proteins and Redox Biology, at the Instituto de Biociências, Universidade de São Paulo (IB-USP), under the supervision of Professor Luis E.S. Netto, a member of the RIDC Redoxoma.
